Do you plan on making the drive in the Cobra, or trailering it?

I don't know if my butt could stand a 200 + mile drive. When I bought my car from Roy in Corpus and drove it back home to Granbury I swore I would never do another long drive like that again. Then again the 100 + degree temps played a big part in my discomfort.

dafuser:
We generally head down in groups of mixed drivers and trailers. We stop every hour or so for a leg stretch and pit stop. We'll be heading down 281 on Thursday morning and will pass through Granbury and Glen Rose if you want to join us. If you don't want to drive and don't have a trailer, the tandem U-Haul car hauler works well.

Boy there must be other conventions in the hotel as it is booked not even for the Texas Cobra Club but I tried to get in with my Ford Corporate booking and the hotel is totally sold out. Oh well you snooze you loose as they say in racing........

I tried the website and couldn't even get Friday and Saturday so I called the hotel and she said they are now totally booked. I was inquiring for Friday and Saturday and didn't ask specifically about Saturday so if someone was wanting just Saturday, they probably should still check. I know last year as we got closer to the event some rooms became available with some cancellations........

I and a couple of others are staying at the Country Inn 2 1/2 miles North Wednesday and Thursday. I plan to drop the trailer at Embassy Thursday morning when I unload for the day's activities.

Just signed up. I reserved at the Country Inn & Suites as well. I'll be trailering my cobra, so if anyone else needs a ride from the Embassy Suites to the Country Inn and back, I'll have my quad cab truck available.

See you there!

Rick, I grew up in Cedar Hill, 4th generation, and raised my kids there. Now we're just down hwy 67 in Midlothian. I'm building a Hurricane 427 Cobra. Us south-siders need to unite!
