How does the engine breathe thru that tiny air cleaner? It looks like something you would see on a tri-power engine.

So it is a CAV GT40 #169 built in 2011. The car was on display at Carlisle and Mike Rohach (NJ) bought it and finished it. It has a 351w/408 stroker (500hp) with a ZF transaxle. Mike really did an awesome job as the detail and finish of the car is outstanding. He had webers on the car but last summer put this 750 holley on it and sold the webers as he was having some issues with the carbs dripping after the engine was shut off. I bought a set of Italian webers 48IDAs for it back in December. The weather out east really delayed me getting the car and now just as crappy here in Dallas with continued snow, sleet, ice and cold, so the car is just sitting in the garage under it's new car cover. We are also going to need some good heavy rain here to clean all the sand off the streets so I don't see the car going anywhere for awhile. First trip will be for a safety inspection so I can get it registered etc. Here are a couple pics from Carlisle and the stage Mike bought it in......
