Saturday's Spring Meet Cruise
Well guys,it was an unexpected and pleasant surprise Saturday.
I have a ranch on RR 32,down the road from Fischer. I was at the post office at 10:20 am when I heard the unmistakable sounds of numerous cobras at highway speed.
I looked and sure enough there went a few dozen heading west. The sound bouncing around the hills is great.
I was hearing cobras off and on all afternoon.
About 4:30 I was up on the south side of a hill that goes down to RR 32 in my Polaris. The timing was great ! I heard that sound again . What Luck !
The view and sound from being at an elevated position on a hillside at my ranch and watching y'all cruising by made for a superb show !
It's a great road,isn't it .

Yes Fred it was. And yes, I'm still using those Race Bullet side pipes I bought from you so it sounds really good.

Good to hear those pipes are holding up for you as no doubt that KC engine is too.
Glad you enjoyed my road. I get a smile every time I pull out from the gate and get on to it.

Fred,
Good to hear from you! I went by your place twice yesterday, going to Hershal's ranch at Fredericksburg and coming back. Going out, JRoss and several DFW folks were also in the group, so you heard his Lone Star without doubt. Loudest Cobra in the state! I was in the blue GT40.
Best wishes,
Sam

Now that y'all bring up John and his LOUD pipes,it is certainly possible I just thought I heard several herds of cobras and it was actually just John.
Hey,I do know I did see a bunch of y'all, including Sam and his 40 though !

Awesome Weekend
Another one in the books. Weather was picture perfect, copious amounts of adult beverages consumed (after keys put away) even found some "Shine" at the tailgate party . Thanks to everyone that helped make this happen, to the new friends we made (pizza on Thur night was great), to old friends and to my lovely wife that still says "hell yes we spend our anniversary weekend in San Marcos" It's where we got married 7 years ago.

How are you doing John ? Sure been a while. That rear end still staying straight as you burn those tires off ?
I really didn't have the 3-4 hours min. to meet y'all outside of Fredericksburg for lunch and drive back. It's an hour there from my place.
I was ass deep building a slash dam in my creek. Part of the Wildlife Management Program. One of many activities I can choose so I can meet the requirements set out by the State. I get MAJOR property tax relief for the WMP.
Besides that,I throughly enjoy seeing the results in the land and increase in variety and health of the wildlife.
Hunting is also encouraged and promoted.
The program is all about native Texas species.
P.S. I got a visit from Tom Meadows last Spring. He and his wife rode their Harleys down from Dallas.
