Default Front to back stripes - Vinyl or Paint

I recently aquired a Classic Cobra with a beautiful paint job. It does not have the front to back stripes and I would like to have those. I have checked with a few local shops and they are willing to paint them on for a reasonable price, but they will never call me back or put me on the schedule. They want to "fit me in" an that seems like never.

I was curious if anyone had any shops North of Dallas that they know does this or a place where I could order or have the Vinyl decals made?

I've ordered from Ordway Sign Supply for years and never got a bad shipment.
They will rip any width you like.

The FDC 2100 metallic and 3700 ultra metallic are great.
FDC 3700 Cast Ultra Metallic 5 Year Vinyl Film

3Ms are great but are in solids only.

Generic (409 cleaner) sprayer, water, 2 tsp dish soap, 2 oz rubbing alcohol for application. Bondo spreader and or a smooth edge credit card to squeegee out the bubbles.
Hair dryer for heating and stretching around sharp radius's.
Laser level with line splitter for layout.

Its a good idea to Claybar the areas to remove any trash stuck on the paint.
Meguirers makes a decent kit.

I do not like stripes....but my first Replica had a fender to fender stripe like the Cobra's I saw racing in Europa... and no one.... and I mean no one...... would guarantee they could get a decal on straight....

Some tried, but gave up....soooooo it was painted on and was absolutely perfect..about $300...

I'd find a wrapping place and have them install stripes in vinyl if you want them. I'd love to have the choice and you can always switch the stripes to a different color down the road. Leaves a lot of options.

I like the idea of removable stripes but, be careful if you choose the metallic stripes.
I put them on my GT 500 a few years ago and began to notice small brown spots on the stripes after a couple of years. They were rust spots. The stripes were actually rusting. And I live in Southern California, so no rain and the car and stripes were cleaned and waxed regularly.
I replaced them with a better, non metallic stripe and they still look great after three years.
Call your local ford dealership and ask their body shop who does their stripe installations. They've got someone that does the job that they can refer you to. It cost me about $1000 to remove and replace my stripes because the mustang has lots of bends and creases that take time and patience. Your price should be significantly less.

Fender stripes are easy in vinyl, but if you have a molded-in hood scoop, getting full length body stripes looking perfect is a significant challenge. Even with a removable scoop it's still tricky due to the body's compound curves.

I'd say unless you know you'll want to remove them later on, save yourself some stress and regret and go with paint - it's a piece of cake and any good painter will get them perfectly straight every time.
