Thumbs up Thumbs Up

Last Saturday we were cruising through Bastrop Texas Hill Country enjoying the weather and the pine forrest scenery. We were going slow letting cars pass us when an eldery couple drove by. I happened to look up at the car and this 80+ year old lady looked out of her passenger window and gave us a "Thumbs Up" and a big smile. We were taken back with her jesture.

Ed, you sure it wasn't the middle finger she was trying to show you?

You know, between arthritis and alzheimers, she may not have remembered which finger to show you guys....

Sorry, I couldn't resist....

Mike

Default DON'T LAUGH

MIKE,

DON'T LAUGH!!

SEVERAL YEARS AGO I WAS TAKING A "SWEEPER" TEAM TO NEW YORK CITY FOR A TECHNICAL SECURITY PROJECT. WE WERE DRIVING A LATE MODEL DODGE CARAVAN WITH A V-6. NOW, WE HAD IT LOADED WITH EIGHT LARGE CASES OF OUR TECH GEAR AND THREE OF US (NO LIGHT WEIGHTS HERE). I'M DRIVING - ABOUT 90 MPH +/- ON I-95 IN THE LEFT LANE. I NOTICED A FULL SIZE WHITE SEDAN ABOUT A MILE BACK - COMING UP FAST IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. BELIEVING IT TO BE AN UNMARKED POLICE CAR (IT HAD TO GOING WELL OVER 100 MPH), I GOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND LET THE VAN COAST BACK DOWN TO 75 OR SO WHILE LOOKING FOR A SPOT TO DIVE OUT OF THE FAST LANE. THE WHITE SEDAN PULLED RIGHT UP ON MY REAR BUMPER AND STAYED THERE UNTIL I GOT OUT OF IT'S WAY. AS IT ACCELERATED PAST US I LOOKED OVER TO SEE TWO "LITTLE OLD GREY HAIRED LADIES". THE PASSENGER WAS DEFINITELY FLIPPING US THE "BIRD" AND THE DRIVER WAS SHAKING HER FIST AT US. I DARN NEAR RAN OFF THE ROAD LAUGHING. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY WERE GOING BUT IT WAS PROBABLY TO ATLANTIC CITY TO KICK A$$ AT THE CASINOS.

NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE LITTLE OLD GREY HAIRED LADIES.

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

Talking Dont laugh??

BLACKJACK, how can you tell me ANY story and not expect me to laugh??

That's a very funny story, and once again it illustrates how you always seem to attract the more unstable members of the population....

I spent most of my life living in NYC and never once was I flipped off by an old lady (or two)!! Are you sure one of them wasn't your Ex wearing a gray wig???

You crack me up, thx.

Mike
