Great meet today Houston!!!!!
We had a great meet today in Houston!
We had 12 cars show up and we had a ton of drive by and stop by interest. Good Mexican food was had by all!
We even had Bill, the man behind FFcobra.com, join us in his cool red Factory Five roadster. He says that FF told him that there are 50 FF cars in Houston....I aim to find them!
Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, I will try to find the FF contacts in your area as well. Lets find them all and welcome them into the TCC.
I did not have my camera so I don't have a picture to post...I know, bad dennis....but to see pictures of the event and read a little bit more about it go to
http://www.ffcobra.com/magazine/hou_club_april2002.html
Bill did a nice write up about it on the ffcobra.com page.
The Houston group is coming along great!

Nice meet today indeed. It was good to see everyone and all the cars.
Look for a seperate post from me regarding next Saturday's cruise around Lake Conroe and through the mightly pines of the national forest.

Sounds like a GREAT DAY!!
Dennis & all,
It sounds like you had a really GREAT outing!! It's nice to see the
Houston group growing, and if you can add even 25 to 50% of the FFR group to our/your membership rolls this will really give the club a real boost.
Would you find out the FFR contact for the Dallas area and e-mail me the pertinent info(name, phone # or e-mail)? I would like to extend a "welcome to our club" message to them.
Thanks,
John Russell

Way to go HOUSTON!!!
Dennis, you've really got it going down there! Awesome!
Mr President, I'd like to propose a suggestion for your consideration.
What if we plan to have local groups invite other local groups to a Saturday lunch somewhere? For instance, the Austin group could meet the Houston group in Columbus. Or the Houston group could meet the Dallas group in Centerville. We started a thread a while back where we (the Austin group) were going to meet the Dallas group in Waco for lunch. I don't know where we are with that but we got great response from the Dallas group.
It also struck me as a good tool to get San Antonio started!!
Just an idea...

Thanks guys for the encouragement!
John, I will get that info to you as soon as I get it. I'll do the same for the people in Austin and San Antonio.
Charmer, I like that idea! Anyone know of a good place in Centerville to meet, greet and eat?
Austin, How far is Round Top from you guys if it's even close to mid way that could be a good place. Columbus is fine as well.
I emailed Ryan last night in SA, I plan to drive over there whenever he is ready to roll.

Dennis,
Round top would be great. So would Fayetteville. Fayetteville has a really nice town square and eatery that we could monopolize.
Let us know when Ryan is ready and we'll meet you down there
