Bad news / Good news
Bad news first.
I will not make tulsa.
On the last dyno run the new motor bent 2 push rods. this has been fixed and the motor should go back on the dyno tues. If all goes well the car will be ready Saturday afternoon.
Good news.
New motor made 458 hp 480 tq.
The reason for bending the push rods was a clearance problem (a bad clearance problem) through the intake manifold. This was the primary cause for my last motor breaking a timing chain and so many push rods. it's almost time to go back to the last builder.
Drink a couple ten margaritas for me. I'll see everyone at the July meeting.
