Thumbs up State of the TCC Union Address

Thank you Dennis and my wonderful constituents for giving me this great curse, uh... I mean honor, of the position that's been bestowed upon me and for putting me in a position well known for repeated attacks of character, taste and morals. As we've seen in the last few weeks with Dennis's burnt orange snake, no one in the club is safe. Just let it be known, that this behavior will not be tolerated and no one is immune to this crime. Now on to your regularly scheduled programming...and let the harassment commence.

Yes indeed it was a wonderful event. The weather was perfect, the people were great and the cars were loud…just what a Cobra event should be. We were up about ten cars this year despite the economy, impending military action, and nasty weather we had late last week. Up almost 60 cars from the very first event all in only four years.

I want to thank everyone involved in the planning of this event for their hard work and I also want to thank every one that made it; after all, that’s what really makes this event special! I spoke with and saw quite a few people (including myself) that drove their cobra many miles in the rain to make this event happen. And yes, we love the trailer queens too!.

The event went very well, with only a few minor mechanical difficulties and most importantly everyone and their cars made it back safely. No one ended up in jail so I consider that a major success as well!

I want to thank Blake Olson for providing the TCC event shirts, hats, and koozies (coming soon). Remember we still have plenty of shirts left so let us know if you need one. Watch the forum because he'll also be taking orders for the wind shirt which he had on at the event as well as additional hats and koozies that are soon to arrive. I also want to thank him for providing the excellent entertainment by brushing his teeth with the "Freakin hot sauce", I always knew he just wasn't quite right.

I really think this could turn into a national event within a few years. Every year we have a few more cars from surrounding (and not so surrounding) states show up. It's just a matter of spreading the word and letting people know what they are missing. If we do something in Texas dammit, we're gonna do it right!

We've also got some plans in the works to get the cities together a little more often than the annual event. For instance, Blake has a South Texas crawfish boil, complete with live entertainment) planned for late April early may in Boerne and all are invited. I personally will be attending one, if not more, Dallas events and with that said, I will do my best to make it to an event in Houston, Austin and any other town where I'm welcome. After my second trip in the rain, I'm not all that bashful...after all, I bought this thing to drive.

Feel free to contact me at any time after all, that's what I'm here for. We're always looking for ideas to make this a better Cobra community. I know for a fact that several of you have plenty of opinions and are not afraid to air them. There's no need to mention names you know who you are. I must note that I may be a bit busy for the next couple of months because we're expecting our first little Cobra lover next month.

Take care, keep in touch, and get that Cobra out of the garage because it makes a mighty expensive paper weight!
