Congradulations. Feed it high octane and spank it's rear often. Sounds like you won't be sorry.

Alan,

Congrats on the new Keith Craft small block. WOW 602 HP is awesome. Would of been 630 with a solid roller but 602 is still too much for these cars. Wish I could go Monday but have too many meetings and been out on vacation last few days. spring break for the kids! Bet Drew is interested in going since he sold his car this last week!

How high do you plan on spinning the motor? I see you're using a hydraulic cam, so 6200 or so?
Maybe over time the classified cam stats will leak out?

Impressive numbers. Enjoy.

Talking

We took it up to 7100. At 6200 we got 606 HP. Still had good HP past 7000 - by the sheet it looks like 570. This hydraulic cam is not a whimp. The engine made over 550 HP all the way from 5000 RPM to 7100 w/ peak at 6200.

Torque numbers were 572 ft./lbs.

It was a real experience watching this thing run on the Dyno!!!

Brought this boy home today and will be putting it in this week.

BTW - better keep cam specs under wraps for now.

I guess that you engine settles the BB vs SB debate. You have true BB power with a SB engine. Congradulations.

Boudy,

He didn't make it in last night. I had to go out there to wake him up this morning. Sort of hugging it in his sleep.

Fred,
Getting close. Parts seem to be the hold-up. I'm still waiting on a few things. Tonite I'm welding up the jigs for the new headers. Lonestar says they'll have them built in 2 days. We'll see. If all goes according to plan I'll fire it off this weekend.

Check out my picture gallery for tonite's work.

Thumbs up DEFINITELY RUNNING

Went to a car show in Garland last night and Alan was already there with his Cobra. I got him to start up that 418 ". All 606 horses were most certainly there and well fed. It sounded absolutely awesome !!
People started heading his way from the far ends of the parking lot. It was a show all by itself .
Very impressive !
