Default Velosity Stack Air Cleaners

Anyone have any idea where to go for individual Velosity Stack
Air filters. My stacks have a 90MM opening and I have only been able to find 80MM cleaners to fit a Weber unit. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

Default Velocity Stack

There are several types of air cleaners that fit velocity stacks...

There are the "tea strainer' types that fit over the lip with two mesh screens sandwiching a filter element.......there are "weber" type air filters that fit over one or both of the throttle bodies (without the actual velocity stack).....There are K&N filters that snug to the outside lip of the velocity stack...and there are air filters that enclose all the velocity stacks in one unit.

First....How much vertical clearance between the top of the velocity stack and the underside of your hood (hood clearance)?

Second....Are you running 8 stacks (independent runners)....4 weber carbs...or something else?

Third....How much air does your engine require to breathe correctly...What are the CFM requirements of air intake?

Fourth...do you want a show look or just something functional?

Mike

Hey Mike, Thanks for the reply. Here are the answers to the questions: I am not sure about the clearance from the hood. I want the individual stack domed screen cleaners like on some Weber set ups. I know I have room for that. Most that run this unit do not use a cleaner at all. My luck isn't that good. The unit has 8 individual stacks and is a fuel injection unit therefore the large diameter stacks. The unit is made by Wayne Presley and can be viewed at WWW.verycoolparts.com once on the site go to Stack Systems and scroll down to 429/460 mine is the 8% slant.
I want both the show and the functional. I looked on K&N and they don't offer an individual dome on their site??The obvious question is why don't I get a set from Wayne, He does not have any either !!

Wayne doesn't have the K&N air cleaners? He posted this not long ago...

And I thought he had the "tea strainer" style too -- like shown here:

???

Ben, Thanks for the info. I'm looking for the "tea strainer" type.
I ask Wayne and he said that he is having some designed but that it will be a while before they are ready. I think these are hand made out of vinyl fabric.

Hey Guys, Thanks to all who have tried to help. I did infact call Wayne back at verycoolparts.com and quess what......He had some specially made for the injectors. When I ask him about them two months ago he just said he did not have any. So long
story short should have in a week or so.
Thanks again
