Amarillo Cobras-DVSFIII
Hi guys, there are three and possible five of the Arizona Cobras going to the DVSFIII. We will be in Amarillo on Tuesday night, June 17th. Are any of you guys going to the Fling and can we join you? Our planed next stop is Rolla, Mo. and London on Thursday, June 19th, in the early afternoon. John

John,
Have you and Mike decided on a meeting time and place there? There are at least 3 disgruntled from the Phx area that are going and would like to meet up.

Wow Mikec, three guys from Phoenix ? Mike F has made reservations at a "Motel 8" on the east side of Amarillo. Let us know who else is going and we'll get more rooms. I hope that we can meet up with some of the Texas guys, a caravan would look nice thru OK. and Mo. I have email the California Cobra owner and am awaiting his response to see if he still wants to join us. John

Waltz across Texas
John - we really don't have any Amarillo (my home town) members in the Texas Cobra Club - most guys are in DFW, Austin, Corpus, Houston & San Antonio, etc. Amarillo is about 6 hrs NW of Dallas and the wrong direction from Dallas for DVSFIII. I believe that Jay Nordstrum is headed to DVSF after a stop at Tulsa.
You guys have a safe trip across the panhandle of our state and be careful. If your AZ Cobra group needs any local assistance in Amarillo, I still have a couple of brothers there and few friends with car knowledge.
You guys should pass right by the famous Cadillac Ranch.

Dick, thanks for the info. Please tell Jay that we will be in Tulsa about 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 18th. We'll be refueling on the far east side just outside of town and going on to Rolla, Mo. for the night. We have reservations at the "Motel 8" in Rolla in case he would like to join us. It looks like we'll have six Cobras. By the way, since they moved the Cadillac Ranch I haven't seen it. What Mile Post marker is it near? Thanks, John

Cadillac Ranch
John - Cadillac Ranch is between mile marker 60 & 62 near Bushland (where my brother lives) about 7 miles west of Amarillo. I already made you guys dinner reservations for a Texas sized free steak dinner at the Big Texan:

Free 72oz steak (if you can eat it all)!!! Be sure and visit the Texas Tornado Museum & the top tourist attraction - The Helium Monument. WOW!!
Lot's a weird & funky stuff in Amarillo.

Dick, thank you for the info. We'll be sure to look for the Cadillac Ranch. About that steak - do you realize how big 72 oz. is ??? As we get older us Arizonians really watch our figures ( grow ). If you hear of any stray Cobras that would like to join up with us on the drive please let me know. John
