Hey Tony, when you start building your headers let me know. I want to come lend a hand as I'm planning to build a set for my motor next year. Thx!

Pretty good idea Tony. Also if anyone needs some local help, they shouldn't be afraid to ask. (Those in the market, this is a good way to learn about a certain kit.)

Thumbs up FFR Spec Racer Progress

FFR Spec Racer #3646 is almost ready to make it's first public appearance. We should have her ready for the next Houston Cobra Club meeting in November.

I just received jpg's of my finished paint work today. Once I get them posted to my home page I will post them for comments.

I am hoping to pick up the body next week and then to install it on the chassis in the next couple weeks.

Just thought I'd pass this along for whatever it is worth.

Regards,

Terry

Default Lone Star pickin up speed

Just made a parts run up to God' country (North Texas). Should have enough parts to finish the little darlin' this fall, aleast by Christmas. The paint will have to wait until spring unless the CFO loosens the ol' purse strings. Oh well, the gel coat won't look too bad toolin' around the neighborhood. Doesn't have to look cool to feel cool does it?

Mark

As soon as I clean some of the junk out of the way I'll take some pic and add to my gallery.

Glad to see these Cobras coming along.

Tony, I built my own headers and let me tell you it was time consuming. I spent 6 weekends on them. Patience! If you could find some close, you might be able to modify them?

Mark, glad yours is moving along. (Also glad Cowtown didn't do something to get y'all arrested Saturday!)

Falcon, can't wait to see the spec Racer.

TC, get her on the road. We'b love to have you join us in Austin in February.

Yeah Tony I am in Houston. I have a B&B body, but fabricating my own chassis. I am tearing down a '76 Jag sedan for its suspension. I have my body pan done, but am about to fab rear clip and finish front clip. I have a 351W with stock and pre-emission heads, but will probably put in a Ford street cam and gt-40 heads. By the way what color is that red in the paint booth pics?? I just might change my mind on my original color.

Steve, I thought you had fallen off the planet! Good to see you are still working on your car.

You need to catch up with us at a meeting or two.

Default I'm still alive

I'm still bogged down in the bodywork. Actually, I'm pretty well finished on the body and have bonded the hood hinge hoop to the hood(for about the third time). I'm smoothing out the underside of the hood and trunk. Once that is done, I smooth all the edges and take it to the paintshop.
This whole "full time job" thing really gets in the way of car building.

Well........... I had it all basically together, trial fit, broke the motor, took most apart, reconfiguring for different engine combo, making alot of minor changes, basically have a mess. When I have a few free minutes I will decide where to go from here and then start. Other than that things are going great. hope to be done with everything but paint by May, 2004. Of course it would help if I didn't have to keep asking for everyone's input, Thanks for all it though!

Yes, that's my car at Lucas's...was just over there this afternoon and am making plans to pick it up tomorrow.

Mark does GREAT work and I am very pleased with all he has done on my car.

Gregg and Mark did a lot of fabrication on my Monte Carlo Ford Falcon Vintage Race Car and that is why I took the Cobra to Mark to do the body work and paint for me!

I'm up in Allen and I'm building a Factory Five non donor build, I just received the kit a month ago so there is not much to show. I've been mostly spending my time sourcing all the parts I don't have yet.
