Hi Guys, This is Carol, Ford Nut's wife. Bob was going to go to San Marcos this last weekend to find a good place for the Cobras to meet. However, he came down with the flu Friday afternoon and has been laid low since then. We didn't get to San Marcos, Bob didn't leave the house, barely got out of bed until this am.

If you get something organized we are hoping he will be feeling better by this weekend so we could join you. Keep us posted.

How about going to SAN MARCOS RIVER PUB & GRILL
701 Cheatham
San Marcos, Texas 78666
(512) 353-3747

We were there last year - good parking area - GOOD FOOD - right off of IH 35 close to the Hwy 123 exit ( 206 ) I think!!!

Hope to make the event, I have been out of town the last two events. Good friend and car nut Dr. Larry Kolb lives a stones throw from that place. He has about 10 Corvettes in his garage, one vintage race '64 Corvette that I have been chasing for years.

Directions
From Austin: Take IH-35 South to San Marcos. Exit 204B - C.M. Allen Parkway. Follow access road & take first right on Riverside. There is a sign at the turn that says, "Tourist Info." At the stop sign on Riverside, turn left on Cheatham Street. River Pub is on the right just before the river.

From San Antonio: Take IH-35 North to San Marcos Exit 204 - San Marcos, Sequin. Follow access road & go left at the light onto Guadalupe Street. Follow the road as it winds around to the stop sign, then turn right onto Cheatham Street. River Pub is 2 blocks down on the left, just past the river crossing.

Found this on their website...right next to the dam if I remember.
