group photo
not than anyone cares about my opinion, but there are a lot of us that can't be there on Friday for a group photo.
how about start the event like lots have suggested on Thursday by having a pre-party on thursday night, have a fun social and admire day on friday, with a group dinner that includes the business meeting, club stuff, then on saturday a.m. have the group shot when more people can be there. followed by lunch and cruise. a lot of folks headed out sat. evening, and missed the night stuff like raffle, etc.
but, just because i would have a hard time being there on Friday a.m. doesn't mean the party can't go on without me
some people do work, or pretend to, and can't get away til friday afternoon.
i agree, tho'. this subject has been thoroughly cussed and discussed. and since you all asked my opinion, i move to move it to the first saturday of march. pretend it's warmer one week later!
no one can get mad at me for my opinion because i'll just say "well i didn't know better- i'm new"

Kristen,
First welcome aboard. Second nobody works during the week of the event. We are too busy getting the cars ready, watching the weather channel.......

Great Response
Welcome Kristen! Your opinion is just as important as us old guys
This is obviously a very important topic and one that needs a consensus in order to put it to rest, either way. I'm all for doing whatever the group wants to do. Let's get that poll up and going and see what happens.
My vote will be to keep it the same and add a day. Mainly because I don't want to loose a single one of you wonderful people to a conflict that is more likely to happen later in the year. I don't have a cobra right now and I probably wont have one next year either, so it REALLY IS about seeing your smiling faces for me.

I Agree!
Stuck, Please put up the poll for the months of February and March only. One vote per TCC membership only. Whatever month gets the most votes wins and the issue is settled. We will meet on the last weekend of the winning month, and it will be a four day event.

On the Books!
I talked to the Marriot hotel and El Arroyo's restaurant today and there are no problems for either month. We're temporarly booked for both months until the issue is settled.
Marriot knows that we will have a four day event (Thursday thru Sunday). Same TCC rates will apply. The ball room is also reserved for Friday night for the TCC dinner and official meeting.
Suggestion from Kathy (my wife), on Friday during the all day car show, the gals who are not interested in the car show can go to Salado for lunch and shopping.
That's it for now.
