Well we all saw that the Dragon Snake 427 Cobra # 3198 which was the 1966 NHRA National Record Holder sell a couple weeks ago out at Monterey for big bucks!
Well today I had the pleasure of sitting in it and listening to it being fired up as Sam Pack added it to his 150 car collection this past Monday. This car is really neat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some time this fall maybe October or November, when it's a bit cooler (warehouse is not air conditioned) we will schedule our monthly lunch at Champs in Addison and then cruise to Sam Pack's warehouse to view his collection to include the Dragon Snake Cobra, Holley 1957 Chevy Tour Car, Peggy Sue's 1957 Chevy, New Ford GT 40s and may more exciting automobiles!
We might also beable to convince Sam to let Bill Wages bring the Dragon Snake out to the Texas Nationals...........
I talked to Brian Huth the service manager and we could plan a lunch at Champ in Addison and take a tour around 1:30 pm on the 1st Saturday in November. October is out as that is the same weekend as the Good Guys Event at TMS and they are going to that most likely to look for more cars for the collection.
