Talking Making some changes....maybe

OK guys, I know I'm insane but I never denied that....

After much thought and debate, I think the Aggie Cobra is going EFI. Still not sure what system yet but I figured I wouldn't do it unless I made a bold move to get the process started. Therefore, as of last night I did this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3ALC%3AMT%3A1 . Yep, I put the 6 duce set up on the block. If someone buys it, then I'll put the money in a "cobra EFI" fund and throw a few bucks in here and there until I am ready to go. If it doesn't sell I'll just continue to enjoy them and I didn't lose anything by putting it up for bid.

No need to fear, I won't be absent from the meets. If I do indeed sell the system, I'll just put my 2x4 set up on the car and run it that way until I've saved all the funds for the conversion.

Now it's time to wait and see what happens.

Default Hmm

Well you are opening a can of worms .
Carb vs. EFI.
15 vs 17
SB VS BB
SPRINGS VS COIL SPRINGS

I VOTE CARB Spend the extra $ss on the other parts of the car .
Good Luck anyway .

Good luck Dennis. That is a VERY fair price for such a rare setup. We'll see you in March with a new EFI system. What are you going with do you know?

Charmer,

Not sure which system I will go with yet, but I'm getting close to narrowing it down. Won't make a change at all if the 6 duces don't sell.

Default This is a Shocker!!!

Dennis,
It takes quite a bit to really get my attention, but this post sure did! I never expected to see the 6 x 2 set up disappear, and I have to agree with Stretch....... the pricing floor you set is very reasonable, as in bordering on low!
I can't wait to see what you come up with, and knowing you are going to make Austin in March no matter what is indeed comforting news.

Quality Roadsters makes a vintage look EFI system whereby you can use a oval Cobra air cleaner or any other for that matter. Look like a carb except for the fuel rails and the injectors.

It is also a mass air setup not the speed density and can be used from small block up to almost any ford running gear.

John, I agree with both you and Stretch, I set the starting price a little low. Was hoping to intice some bidding. So far it hasn't worked. If it doesn't sell, I'm not going to be too broken up about it.

JQ, I leaning more toward a stack system like the TWM, Hilborn or Very Cool Parts set ups. TWM has a slight lead currently due to the inboard fuel rails. I think they make the system look "clean". Of course they could get in the way of stuff and make it a pain to work on.

Since I always like to do things the hard way, maybe I'll just buy the throttle bodies, buy the intake I like and make my own. I just can't finger out a way to cause myself more headaches

I'll keep you guys informed.

Lightbulb Remember, this is EBAY!

Dennis,
After watching some Ebaymaniacs I work with, it seems things have a very distinct pattern. No one that "really" wants that set-up will start the bidding, they just lurk around, circling like sharks looking for the first sign of blood. About 24 hours or so someone will pop in, but if someone actually realizes what a truly great deal this is, then things will get real busy in the last two hours, then 30 minutes, and the last two minutes the fight will be on.
Good luck, & I hope you get around $4500-$5k
Hey, you deserve a Merry Christmas also!

Lightbulb EFI Maniforl

Edelbrock also has a manifold that is ready for the injectors...

It is a Victor Jr.

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...ictor_efi.html

The bid question after you choose the EFI manifold is the computer to use. I am going to be installing my Electromotive system in a few weeks if you want any feedback on that system...

The only other I considered was the FAST system

Dennis, save your money! Maroon and white can't beat Orange and white

I'll let you park next to me again at Austin if the Aggiemobile will promise to behave

On second thought, get the EFI, maybe the Maroon one won't spit lugie's in the mornings
