Default Owner of this car?

I was at the annual Austin meet this past weekend and saw a car with the license plate 1KOBRA and was wondering how to contact the owner. I love the color and want to paint my FFR this color. It is a beautiful metallic red, very similar to Tom Bachelor's car (Stella O'terra is his house of color's paint). If I knew how to attach a picture to this thread, I would! I believe the car is a Lone Star Classic and it had Boyd Coddington wheels. I could never find the owner. Any help would be appreciated. The car show was fantastic. I got to meet a large number of great cobra owners and really enjoyed talking to everyone. Thanks. Skip

Skip, I talked to the owner, but can't remember his name. He told me the paint was a bike color. That's all I remember

Skip,

That car belongs to Fred Bucy up here in Dallas. He ended up driving back early. He drove that car all the way down to Austin and back.

I'm pretty certain his car color is Candy Apple Red. That's sticking in my head because my husband is horrible remembering names and for the first few months Fred was known around our house as "Candy Apple Red Fred."

Thanks all for the help. I will try to contact him to get the color code. All the cars there were beautiful, but I just seem to favor red! Skip

Skip,
Sorry for being so slow in reading and replying. This last week I have been slower than slow.

The color is a custom blend Candy Apple Red. There are 14 - 16 coats, total.

The major drawback to it is that it can not be patched:rocks chips, scratches etc..

If you would like some more info I can get you the name and phone number of the painter. He paints a lot of custom street rods.

Fred

You sure had me worried when you left Austin.

Man was I glad you called Tom to tell us you had made it home. When you left you were one sick puppy.

Glad to hear your ok!

Thanks Fred. Sorry to hear you were not feeling well. Hope things are better now. I would appreciate it if you could send me the painter's name and phone number. Did he also do the body work? I am not that familiar with the Lone Star cars so I don't know how much body work they require. I am building an FFR which requires a fare bit of body work. I would like to find a painter like yours here in Austin, but Dallas/Fort Worth is not too far away. Thanks again for the help and your car is incredible. Skip
