Exclamation 2006 Fall Gathering on Lake Conroe

The Houston group welcomes everyone to the 2nd Annual TCC Gathering on beautiful Lake Conroe, October 6th, 7th and 8th. We want everyone to join us at the Del Lago Conference Center & Resort for a relaxing time and enjoy some great Texas Fall driving weather. Last year we had a wonderful time together and absolutely gorgeous driving weather .

We will meet at Del Lago Friday afternoon to visit and consume some adult beverages. Saturday we will strike out on a late morning drive, grab lunch, drive some more, get something to drink, drive some more, well you get the picture. We will make our way back to Lake Conroe in time to watch the sun set over the lake and hopefully only one moon will appear.

There is a block of rooms reserved at Del Lago, just mention you’re with the Texas Cobra Club when you make your reservations to get the group discount. The number is 1-800-DelLago. You can check out the resort and all its activities on their website at www.DelLago.com. You can find maps and driving direction there as well.

As we work out the details of the drive and lunch for Saturday I will post some updates

Saturday's drive schedule and map:
Del Lago Resort to BCS Run
Saturday's lunch location:
Koppe Bridge Bar & Grill
3940 Harvey Road
College Station, TX 77845

Mark,

Just booked my reservation. Can't wait. I missed last year's event, but I'll be there this year.

BTW - The TCC rate is $109. The regular rate is $99. Do we get something extra for the TCC rate or are you just one hell of a negotiator?

Rick,
I will have to check the contract, but I thought is was $99. Sherri booked one of the lakeside villas near our parking area so the ladies won't have to sit outside with us cigar smokin', beer drinkin' rednecks. Gives us a kitchen if we want to do a little cooking as well.

See you there, Mark

Whirl,
Hadn't really thought of photos (kind of "what happens at the lake stays at the lake" with no proof), but you're more that welcome to come on over. Photograph anything you want as long as it's not me

Holy Crap! Mark, do you really think a photographer is a good idea? I mean, after what happened last year?

Default Help!!!

I've looked at the website for the hotel and the lay of the land with the rooms & cottages, etc.

Where do the goings on happen? What area do I need to reserve a room??
Are the reservations/prices for the hotel only?? What about the cottages near the lake.........are they the same price???

Please help me with this.

Dee Walters/Cammer

Dee,
We have a block of rooms in the tower for $90/night (I think that is the correct price). You can get one of the lake front villas for $200/night but will sleep 6 people. The cottages are along the golf course and are away from the area we will be congregating. If you get a tower room you can ask for a lake view and you will be able to look out over the parking area where we will be.
We will have the parking lot adjacent to the boat trailer parking designated by the "M" on the map. This will give us toy box parking for the trailer queens next to the assembly area. Del Lago had this area taped off for us last year and I expect the same this year. The Del Lago crew kept a close watch on the cars, actually we couldn't get rid of them.
If you need any other assistance don't hesitate to call or email me (281)782-8980 or markbishop@consolidated.net or one of the other Houston folks. David, Kelly, Jim or Boyd know the lay of the land out there as well.

Well, who's coming? Dee did you get hooked up with a room. Colleen, grab some more folks from the north end and bring 'em with you. Looks like 25 or so confirmed from around the state. I know there more out there, come on down and join in on the fun.
