Default I learned to drive a standard!!!

Alan just took my out for our 12th wedding anniversary. To the Murphy football stadium. To teach me how to drive a standard. In the new Ford GT.

I think my hubby lubs me a lot!

It was so fun. And that car handles so nicely. I can't wait to actually drive it on a street. Or get into 3rd gear.

way to go, Colleen!!!!
I've been telling you I'd do it.... just never got 'tuit'.

Yeah, a parking lot is the best place!! Church parking lots on non- church days, high schools on Sunday's, etc.

Congrats!! The rest will come smoothly enough--- getting the 'feel' from first to second is most important!

How was the show yesterday?? Sorry I missed it. I had 10 10 year olds for #3's bday party. David was gone all weekend.

Oh, and happy anniversary!!! 12 is great!!!! David and I had #21 on Thursday, the 28th.

Now you're ready for the dragstrip with me!!!
Kristen

ps. WHAT new Ford GT??? Blue with Gulf colors or something else?????!!!!

Kristen,
3 weeks ago a brand new '06 Ford GT white w/blue stripes just showed up in my garage. I was in the middle of Stand Up for Families and apparently wasn't paying enough attention.

Alan says you should come by and take it for a spin.

The show was nice - 43 cars and beautiful weather. What more to ask for?

David,
Thank you! I just wish I was good enough to bring it with me to Conroe. As it is, it'll just be me and the Grand Cherokee. But if I try really hard I bet I can get it up past 90 mph.

Pretty good car to learn how to drive a stick in, Colleen! Can't be many folks out there who can say the same as you.

My Dad taught me in a 1965 Dodge Dart 225 slant six.

Try to spare the tires some on the 1-2 shifts with that baby.

Enjoy!!!

Cheers!
Dave

now how cool is that- reverse matching cars!!! neat-o!!!

I encouraged David to 'let me' reverse stripe the new Ford truck. So far no luck, but hmmm maybe while i'm in st. Louis I can get it done!!

way to go, Alan. Looks really neat. Can't wait to see it- maybe the Nov. meet since ya'll won't be there this Saturday???

Wow.

Rick, you are so funny (actually your whole HCC group is hysterical - don't think I haven't seen the comments about safety straps on my shoes!)

I keep telling Alan that pay back is a biatch.

Kristen, Looks like y'all will be seeing Alan this Saturday after all. He's got a work project on Saturday, so it's just me headed to Conroe. But I don't think he's bringing the GT. Like he says, "It's a "COBRA" club meeting." And our poor baby hasn't been driven near enough this year. So plan on seeing a blue and white car Saturday.

Dave, Thanks for the good wishes. I'll see what I can do about leaving the tires intact.

Colleen
