Merry Christmas from 'Down Under"

Hi all



Just thought that I would post here to wish you all a very 'Merry Christmas'.

No not saving on postage or cards..

I am starting to get quite busy at work as tourists are starting to move into the big trailer and caravan parks - pull along parks.



It is starting to warm up here with days in the high 90's to 100f. Fires are really taking hold.

Additionally, we have major water shortages as most of Australia is in a drought with little or no rain. We are all experiencing water restrictions with water use restricted to 'inside' use only.

So no car washing or garden, pool use... So praying for rain here..

Jay, Kristen and gang have a cold beer for me at Christmas.

All the best gang.

we dealt with the drought all last summer; actually still in it. yes, a little rain would be good!

Yes a little early but I'm going to get really busy here as I am commissioning some new equipment and upgrades.

Anne was just posting here 'to do' list on the fridge and I started on it already..

Yes hope to get back over next year. Considering the London event if Hersh goes. He asked me to head over this year but it was busy here with rebuilding and work on the apartment in Geelong.

Must get to MI. to check out the Ford museum and all. I have been so close two or three times but get side tracked...

Kristen, hope you and the gang there have a good Christmas. Guess it's getting to the time when the children are starting to ask questions about the jolly guy in red and doubt his existance... Tell them from me that he does exist and is heading your way -.

And yes I'll organise the tickets in the next few weeks..

Hi Bernie,
My sister-in-law just returned to Sydney after visiting us for 3 weeks. I think they live in the Dover Heights area. They've been there for 3 years (he works for Dell, she's with a surgical equipment co.) We'll be going to Australia next October for 3 weeks! We're going to do the Great Barrier Reef, the wine country, all the tourist stuff. I want to do a great white shark cage dive.
I've been shopping for flights. Haven't followed up on these to see what the real deal is, but these sound good:

Mt. Gambier is a long way from where we'll be, but if you have a trip to Syndey during that month, would love to have lunch. If we end up in your neck of the woods, would love to ride in that race car of yours!

Yes would be good to catch up.

I drive the Cobra on the road all the time. Perhaps far more road miles than track time. It's certainly a road car. The last time out was at Phillip Island on a single track day with a lot of different cars.

I also have an apartment in Geelong just south of Melbourne so yes may have an opportunity to meet up. I'm over in Geelong quite a bit and also up in Melbourne.

There is plenty of nice things to do down in Melbourne and surrounds also. Perhaps time may allow.

Bernie hope you and the family have a great holiday. I have had better years looking for next year to be alot better than this I. Car broke at R&G, lost my dad at the one before, dog had to be put to sleep Mon. Holidays are starting to suck the last couple of years. Everything happens around this time of the year and is magnifield. Hoping my mom will be OK she is going through cancer treatment for blatter cancer. Hoping for a new trailer and the other motor to get done this year. Lil cobra did the ladys and texas proud at Run&Gun. She is going to be a great driver, just watch out for your pants. Rick Lake
