Default Jay got on Tee Vee at Barrett Jackson!!

We were eating dinner tonight about 6:45, watching the auction .. when low and behold!! our enthusiast about town, Jay N., pops up on the screen. He's walking around on the stage, looking at lot #712, a 32 Ford roadster Spent about two minutes on and off the camera, smiled and walked away ...

Jay, gotchew on the TIVO! Lemme know if you want a DVD of yrself

Cheers,
Sammy

Yep,
Looks like he might be in the market for a Highboy.

He was hanging in there until the bid went to $54k.
It sold for $66k.

Default sellers taking a beating, deals to be had

Tom called me and reminder me not to pick my nose on national tv Kristen you can call me anytime after my phone recharges tonight. I am back at the hotel because I am exhausted and all of the good deals are during the early hours of the auction.

Sammy, Dee has been all over me since she heard so yes the video would be great for her and my mom.

So far I have bought five cars snd you can view them at the BJ site under auction offerrings.

Lot #331 was a surpise buy. Car was dealer owned since new and is a one off car. Dealer installed nitrous and surprised to find it only had 931 miles on the car. My price $40,000.

Lot #348 speaks for itself. Great car, $24,000.

Lot #362 engine is a turbo Cosworth and the car is well designed. $20,000.

Lot#373. Not as nice as Gary's but the builder spent 75,000 to build it. got it for $34,000. Hope it gets here in time for the next meet.

Lot#631 Great cruise car and REALLY NICE, $20,000.

I talked to one of the consignment brokers who had 35 cars in. As of tonight 17 had gone across and he was negative on all of them. I tried to get a list of all of the rest of his cars

Probablay will go back in the morning but Russo and Steele is tomorrow evening and as of 8:00 pm my other buyers are there saying it is a worse massacre for the sellers, ie. 65 442 four speed car frame off numbers matching...$19,000

Ya'll stay safe in the weather. Everyone should make this trip at least once. This place is bigger than my home town!!!

Jay

Default Well Done!!

Looked up these cars .. for the folks here:
331: '87 Buick GN - YES!! I remember these going for $10K over MSRP in '87. I had a '84 Turbo Regal .. Woo! It is definitely not anywhere near 250 HP. More like 450 before the nitrous! I'd be pleased to drive this to DCC meets till I get my Cobra built

348: '69 Dodge Super Bee

362: 1968 CAN-AM HERITAGE STREET SPORTS CAR RE-CREATION

373: 1965 FORD MUSTANG CUSTOM FASTBACK .. Can't wait

631: 1962 PONTIAC CATALINA 2 DOOR HARDTOP

... more, more!!

Good luck Fri - Sun!

I also saw the Jayter eye balling the 32 roadster, he looked like he belong there and everything. Jay - are you going to take a shot at Shelby's twin turbo Cobra on Saturday??

Dang I want to go, anyone else interested?

Well let's get a group together for the next one. In fact, I'd be glad to drive one of Jay's new vehicles back.

Default 00000000 my head hurts

Last sober thought was buying some kind of pickup Richard woke me up on the cell phone about 9:30 saying that breakfast was about to be served in the hot tub, come on out. True to form he was wearing a vintage easy rider helment and drinking a Miller Lite

Russo & Steele was great last night. Almost knocked Sean Connory over while trying to look at Miss October

Was within 10k of getting the Japanese Shelby 500 set up for both left and right hand drive but the partners vetoed it

going to BJ to check out the to RS and hire the transporters to bring the cars back. LIFE IS GOOD!!! oooo that hurts

Film at eleven.

Jay
