Exclamation KIT CAR Coverage of Austin Meet!!!

Hey gang, for all of you already planning on coming to Austin and for those of you sitting on the fence, how about a full article in Kit Car Magazine covering the event?

I have been speaking with the Editor of Kit Car and invited him to join this crazy Texas group for a couple of days and he has agreed to come and cover the event! That's great news for all of us. We had some coverage a few years ago with a small article, but this year's event should have a larger article similar to the Western States Cobra Bash event published in the January 2007 issue.

How about a chance to get a photo shoot of your car as well. The editor is always looking for great cars to add to the magazine, and what a better way than at a Cobra gathering!

Let's make this event the biggest ever. Invite everyone you know and get them off the fence. Let's show the rest of the country how we do it in Texas! Bigger and Better!!!

Pass the word, make your reservations, and get to finishing those builds!!!

See you all there...

James Yale

Kristen, great to hear from you. I look forward to seeing you there. Yes, it is Brian... I can guarantee you that when he rides with me, I won't run out of gas (like Dean)...

Ken, Austin is March 23-25...

Default Keep Bugging Them!

James, I had Kit Car writers promise to attend several times (during 2003-2005) and when they did, the coverage article never got published. I had to keep emailing the writer many times before that article was published back in September 2005. The writer told me that the publications editor makes the final call on what gets published. It seems the bigger events get the priority over the smaller events. I was surprised that we even got a two page spread on our 2005 event. My advice to you is to keep bugging them to attend, and get an ETA on the published article.

Ed, the editor is coming, not a writer. That's the best part. Don't worry, there will definitely be a good article put together. Let's just say I have an inside scoop...

Default James #44 is the Cover Girl - March Kit Car!!

Mag arrived today .. congrats James! Brian did a very complimentary writeup on you and your lovely coupe!

I flipped through the Run N Gun article (separate article) .. I'm guessing every human at RnG got their pic in the mag .. including yours truly (back of head) eating dinner at the banquet. Fellow Texan Hey, Littlecobra and her #3 ERA 427 SC are in there .. being chased by Charles (Rookie of the Year)

See you in Austin!
Sam

Default I'll second the comments about James coupe.

I saw it at the car show here in Houston. You did some very nice and certainly impressive work. Congrats on the cover!

I didn't make last year's meet in Austin so I'm looking forward to going and meeting a few more of the local people from the Houston club.

Mike

Thanks Wendell, Mike, and certainly you Jay for the kuddos...I look forward to seeing you guys in March.

Wendell, the Coupe certainly looks different than it did last year. I barely had the body on when I took Lynn for a ride. It's your turn this year!!! And, get your ass off the couch and finish that beast of yours and bring it along!!!

"James is just a trophy and magazine monger"
Jay, I only take a few and leave a few for you...I just wanted to follow in your footsteps and be pictured in every article of Kit Car...LOL

Mike, the Coupe did great this year at Run-n-Gun 06. It was my only track event since last year and I had not had a chance to dial it in at all. But, I was very happy with the results.

Kristen, thanks for sending the pics. We had a great time didn't we!!!

See you soon,

James

thanks, Rick.

guess i should be happy my car 'made the cut', but it is a really small photo!!!!

Run n Gun was absolutely terrific this year. I've told sooo many people about it though that next year it might be too crowded!!!

Anyway, looking forward to good coverage in Austin. Rick, you ought to come on down and join us for a great cruise!! We have a wonderful, wonderful time. Couldn't you pop on down to Tennessee, and bum a ride with Freddie??? Boy, Freddie really missed a great time at Run n Gun!!!

Your car on Kit Car cover and inside look great, and no 'butt cracks' either!!!

take care, and seeya next year.
Kristen
