Bent but not Broke

First reports back from Annie's little mishap is a Bent Rod. Lost the head gasket at the intake manifold. They're still studying the biopsy, but that's as much as they know.
Replace the rod, check the journal, rebalance and hopefully that's all.
This shot was at Hallett around turn 11 (CW, turn 1 CCW) not knowing anything, puking coolant and me still under full power. Can you hear the motor moaning and creaking?

For those not in Tulsa, you can see I had her in her 60's racing best:
headlights taped, centercaps, windwings and visors off, numbers on, steering wheel centercap off, etc. Different look, but I thought it went well with the track - with its tire walls and all. If I sound like a proud papa, I am.

Miles if you had not told me the smoke was from the engine, I would have guessed is was from the rear wheels from that photo........good luck on the rest of the prognosis!

Miles, glad to hear the prognosis isn't worse! Keep us posted; we'll be praying for dear Annie.

also.... the photos look good, don't they??
