Roll Racing event at a closed/ secured airstrip
Another group recently did an event at an airfield which was closed and reserved for us, it involved basically roll on exhibitions for fun, safty crews will be available cost will be in the $100 -$150 range for full day access (Dusk till Dawn) this event was a huge success and allowed for WOT with out the harsh envirement of a drag strip a friend was able to reach 170mph very easily and after talking to John R he is interested also. He also implied a few of would would love to attend this event so post up, no official date has been set and can be set around ya'lls terms if enough interest is shown from this group.

Interesting, Patrick
Did this other group set up cones for some sort of loose track or was it just one-way blasts down the runway to see your car's top end? Just wondering if we could set up some kind of downhill ski run type slalom or something. Something loose, not like autocross.
Oct 29 is a Monday, could it have been the 27th?
Is it open dusk til dawn or the other way around? 170 down a dark runway seems a bit scary to me...
Here's an overhead:

just confirmed it is on the 29th because the airport is closed on monday's and it's basically a high speed blast starting at about 30mph, dead stop racing might be possible but not planned yet. Cones do mark off the starting point and possibly the ideal braking point. So if you want safe structured races, with out the strain of launching your car from a dead stop this event is for you, lets see how fast your top end is in the distance given.
