I'm impressed with your photography...obviously taken flat on your belly if you are using a view finder camera...or down on your knees if you are using an image selection camera. In either case...get up! Stand up tall! Be proud! And keep up with the terrific posts! & have fun with your toys...and keep us posted. We all love your ability to turn something completely benign into something goofy! Luv ya!

I had a friend that converted a 110V toy to 220V. We haven't seen her lately!

Patrick... the hunt is on!!!
(what I may have to do is buy a 'clear' mustang, chop off the top, and paint it red from the inside {to give it the plastic kote sheen on the outside} and then detail it myself.)
I'm hoping to find a '65 red one ready done. unlikely, i'm sure.
hhehehe! lots of fun!!!!!

I just bought a similar model (not RC). The quality was amazing for the price, but the wheels and tires are hideous! If or when you find replacement wheels/rims, please let me know.
Here is thread link for info on replacements ...

hi, Warren. I saw your thread. I'm pretty sure I can replace my ugly dub wheels with something more traditional. will hit the hobby store sometime soon. Regarding regular diecast, i'm not too sure how to do that. Buy a 'cheap' car (even a dodge or something) from which you like the wheels, and trade them out! Make sure they are both 1:18 or 1:24 or whatever so the size matches. I have three Cobra's with 'hallibrand style' wheels with spinners. They are fairly cheap quality, but 'work'. I think one of them is pretty rough, played with. I could take a look and see if they could come off pretty easily and send them to you.
Let me take a look.
My RC toy is great fun!
Terrible head on collision, tho', last night. Trey (brother) was doing great big looping circles, and misjudged just a bit.....
oh nooooo!!!!!!!!! He smashed head on into a fence pole. Yup, a metal pole. in the 500.
It knocked the black bumper loose, cracked the front fascia, and rattled the headlights. I believe the airbags were deployed, and if it wasn't for the fact that I INSIST on everyone wearing seatbelts, I am SURE the occupants would have been ejected from the vehicle, right thru the windshield!!!!
so.... I was glad he was the one that crashed it, since he just found and bought it the day before! If i had wrecked it, then hell to pay!!!
There were 'two' at toys r us, might go get the other one for after we get 'good' at driving. Use the wrecked 500 for practice. Much more careful with the Cobra, as it was more money. anyway, ebay has a 65 or 66 red convertible mustang rc, but the interior is red also. darn. I'm a looking!!!!
Anyway, is the silver diecast you bought 1:18?? The knockoff's on the Cobra are black centers with the spinners, not quite accurate for my car, but better than those ugly dub wheels.
let me know!

Awesome, K. I've seen a red one, but not the white/blue. They look great together.
Check this one out!
Amazing, but for $13,000, it should be!!

I have a 1/24th scale. The quality is amazing for the low price. I only paid $15 for mine. But as we both agree, the wheels are super ugly. Also, the offset on the rims are way off as compared to a "normal" Cobra wheel.
The wheels/tires are approx 1 7/16" tall. Front is 9/16" wide and rear is 7/8" wide. I have not taken it apart yet. It is only my 5th diecast Cobra and I do not have any spare parts inventory yet.
Your two RC cars look fantastic. Bring the wrecked 500 back to the dealer and tell them it needs some warranty work.

New rims?????
Your car looks like a lot of cars in the area with those rims.
Does the center spin?

I have a lot, too! nice collection, Patrick. Mine are about as dusty. Now my 'best' ones (most expensive) live in the house, not the garage.
I'm out of room.

The detail on the 40 is great. They are most fascinating to look at and study, aren't they??
I love these wonderful, accurate models.
It's fun tho' getting into these 'cheap' RC cars. Yeah, they have very nice expensive ones, but when my kids, brother and I are out in the front drive cruising around and having little crashes, etc, paying <$50. is nice.
The girls get to drive a decent looking Mustang GT, blue/white stripe, with a wing, i think. It has had a few little crashes.
It's all fun, and keeps us 'playing together'.
I need a few minutes (like a free hour) to gather together a nice little collection I have and take a few snaps. Very nice.
Maybe i'll get to it this weekend.

My toy. Popeyes offshore cat. It has a CMB .090 engine that runs on 50% Nitromethane gas. Sweet rooster tail.
