Texas Pres At Run And Gun
Hi Everyone
It's Been Somehwhat Of A Hectic Year For Me So For, But Thanks To Jay Nordstrom Who Made All Of The Arrangements For Me, I Got To Attend The 2007 Edition Of The Run And Gun In St. Louis This Past Week. I Had A Greeeeaaaaat Time! Lots Of Fast Cobras And Other Replicas. The Guys At Gateway And The Event Co-ordinators Did A Fantastic Job! For This Laid Back Texan Everyone There Was Supper Nice. Met A Lot Of Really Neat People. A Couple Of The Guys Drove Their Cobras All The Way To The Event From Their Home Town. I Was In Hog Heaven With The Sound Of Open Ehausts Blasting Around The Track. The Event Will Again Be Held At Gateway In 2008 And I Plan To Attend, Hopefully With 2 Of My Cars. Thanks Again Jay And I Hope Everyone Who Attended The Event Made It Home Ok.
Paul
Ps Don't Forget My 'cobras By The Bay' Event October 26-27.

Hey Paul, it was great to meet you. Hope to see you there next year. It was a pretty good time wasn't it?

Gald you had a great time Paul
Paul Cass Gald you came and had a great time. Jay,Dean, and the other guy, what's his name, Clois did another great job. Hope you bring your car next year. You can run in the novice group. Please buy a NOMEX helmet for the event and not use a motorcycle helmet. This is for safety. It was nice to meet you. We might have gotten you a ride in the Silver bullet of Morris and Steve's car. Anyway Hope you back next year. Rick L.

I saw on the Run N Gun website (runngun.net - check it out for great photos) that someone from Texas "kissed" the wall at Gateway.
Hopefully it really was just a kiss, although with these cars, even that can be very damaging.
Who was it and are they okay?

One of the Houston Boys placed a kiss ever so slightly on the inside wall of turn one. Couldn't even see any damage once they got the light bandaged. Very minimal damage and no body parts hurt. This is the same person that had his brake line break in Tulsa this year!
Hey Rick, (this is the other guy) but thank you so much for all your help. I am writing an article for Kit Car that might just get in I am calling "Behind the Scenes".

That's James Yale. I saw the red tape on the front headlight and elsewhere on the front end. James makes a heck of a car, too bad he wants to leave parts of them here and yon!
Here's the "after" picture. I guess his car is going to be a pirate for Halloween.
I like the autograph on the tape too. Personal touch.
I really do like that front spoiler. Looks like it got a little wear over the weekend, but looks pretty integrated into the car.

That's me, I can sign an autographed piece of red duct tape if anyone is interested...ha ha
Oh well, I guess it's not really racing if you don't push your car to the limit. Thanks Hersel and all for helping me get her taped up and back together to race for 3 more days!!!
Call me "Popeye"...
James
