Default Eagle Canyon is open

Maverick Region of PCA hosted a tracking event at EC the 16th & 17th. CVAR is having an event this weekend, Sat. & Sun. It might be fun to run out there and watch the vintage boys and girls having fun. Here is a quick lap around the track in a Porsche 996 GT3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARfYylR-8Aw

See you all Sat. at lunch...Papa' Bar B Q on Northwest Hwy. Right???

Hey Wild Bill!

This track is about 50 miles from my front door. There is another track at Motor Sports Ranch that is about 60 miles. The Porsche Club, BMW Club, Corvette Club, etc. all book Driver Ed/Tracking days and weekends at these venues, and I found out that we in the Cobra Club can participate if our cars can pass the safety and tech. inspections...roll bars, fire extinguishers, nothing leaking, etc. and the sponsoring club has room for some extra competition...

I'm getting a track set of wheels mounted with some slicks, so I can go have some fun. If you can find some time, come on down to Texas this winter and join in on the FUN!

Have a great Holiday.

With all the activities on Saturday (Adolphus Christmas parade, Cobra lunch, drop off Cobra, OU vs MU), I'll be heading to EC with my daughter on Sunday morning. Visit my new peeps, Group 1 big bore. Two races Sunday.

http://www.corinthianvintagerace.com...html#nextevent

No Cobra, only the F150. Gym J-Cups an I are dropping the Cobra off Saturday after lunch at ET again to see if they can resolve the lifter problem.

If anyone is interested, we'll see you Sunday.

So Rick what are you saying? Snow means no go? Knowing how the temp works in this part of the country it is probably 60 degrees at the time of my email.

Larry,

Just sent pictures and the video you posted to my daughter in Frisco, just to put her on notice that I will be dropping in to see my granddaughters and I may want to take them with me to the track.

I guess we need to start checking on track rental etc.

Clois

Rick: Slap some chains on your cobra, turn on your lights, zip up your coat, start out in second gear, go like hell 'til you reach "Sunshine, Asphalt and no stop signs...Perfect"

Clois: I'm going to check out the various club schedules with the track management this week end and we'll have to plan an outing.

John: That's a good question. Like a good used car salesman told me: "always answer a question with a question"...Are you home for the holidays?

Yes I will be home for the Holidays and looking to spend some quality time in the Cobra.....even if it is a bit chilly. Planning to make the 15th toy run.

Looks like Clois is all over it so I will stay tuned....but include me in the count!

Whew! Thank God. Okay, now I'm in!

EDIT: Wait a minute!! I just watched the video again and there's a guardrail at the last turn, then a concrete wall!!! AAaaahhh!!!

So we can join the Porche, BMW, etc Clubs when they run? According to the EC schedule, they're out there quite a bit. I'd love to go embarass some 911's!
