$5500 for a Cobra with stripes. Chris Rayner 214-549-5126. He has a set price for Lone Stars. I am going silver, so prep is more forgiving than a dark color. This seemed good for me. Notice Ev-Mor. has a paint option of $4800.

J dean maybe able to offer some additional thoughts on this... but the guy that painted my car (larry Goins) has moved (or is moving) to Oklahoma from Montana. I think he also painted John's

He does a really nice job and I think his prices are reasonable. He is a lurker on this board and maybe even post or send you a private message (hint hint larry)

Yes he does a great job. He's been a paint and body guy for a long time and has painted Cobras for years. He should be about done with mine. For the quality you get with Larry I think the price is very reasonable. I'll get some pics when I can. Hint to Larry!!

(removal of windshield, wipers, lights, doors, etc) When i had my factory 5 painted I took them the body shell sitting on the body buck (wood frame with wheels) I had also done the majority of the body work, including smoth sanding the gel coat, primering and scratch coat sanding the body. They basically worked with what i had done and improved some parts that I as an non-professional body man had not completed to their standards. So long and short it depends on how close to paint ready your car is. I can easily see the 150 hours mentioned by Jody above.

I have done a cobra where the customer did alot of work himself, I just finished it out and painted it and I am currently doing one that just the essentials were done, that will have stripes even under the hood and decklid.

Seems, blocking, flushing the doors on the side and around front and back of the cockpit. He is going with the bolt on scoop rather than the factory five molded one. Sealing the underside and undercoating fenderwells. Not show quality perhaps (we will see finished product) haha but i am definately OC about everything. The cost is under 5500 including all materials from beginning to end. Indigo ink blue pearl, stripes are blue pearl over arctic white.

I am doing one from scratch with stripes even under the hood for less than 5500. Will post pictures when complete.

So, does anyone have Larry Goins' contact information?

JDean, has your paint job been completed? How was your experience? Pics?

Larry is in the process of opening his Oklahoma shop. Mine is not painted yet but all prepped and ready to be sprayed. Probably in July.

Chris Noland is local and has a car painted by Larry, plus you can see some of his work at http://www.jblmotor.com/

I will send you a PM with his number.
