Default Thanks Dallas

Flew up to Dallas yesterday to help solve the worlds problems, and we where very successful. Big Thanks to Steve Parks who was my body guard and picked me up at the right airport. (Next time guys can you give us small towner's a heads up about having two airports.)
We headed over to Jays shop and just hanged out for the day. Jay thank you from Veterans every where, for all you do for the us veterans. Oh and you have a very nice car collection. I told Donna about the 69 Shelby. She wants a ride or three.
It was great to see Tom. Tom if you need anything after you little deal next week please holler. I will come up in a moments notice.

Got to meet a couple of Club Cobra veterans as well. Hersh I hope you got the GT fixed and are now cruising to Ohio. It is a very nice car.
Bernie you might want to hang with a guy that has a no car issues. BTW we solved Australia's problems as well.

Plus I got to talk to Gary Morris. Gary I hope all is well and it was good to here your voice.

Thanks again gang for a wonderful day of just shooting the bull. I think it was mentioned 4 or 5 times yesterday. Its not about the cars but the people. And I consider you all my family.

Gregg,
Indeed it was a good day. After I took you back to the airport I went back to the shop. It seems the GT still needed further TLC. I believe we left the shop at about 12:30 or 1:00AM.

It was my pleasure picking you up at Luv Field and I would have picked you up in Austin if I needed to. Anytime you need a ride here in DFW just let me know. I enjoyed the day as well. I will keep the gift for the rest of my life and display it in my office as long as I have one and at home when I don't. Short of my wife and kids it the most treasured item I have. I thank you for what you have done and given us.

Hersh & Bernie,
After talking to you two for almost ten years it was a pleasure to meet you both. Welcome to Texas.

Goodness I could go on for hours about the day, but I'll leave some of it for the others to post.

Default What an amazing day

Yesterday was such a surprise and as I look back on it on of the best days of my life! To have Greg there along with Steve, Bernie, Hersh, Tom and a cast of others...TOTALLY AWESOME. Yes we did solve the worlds problems...I think. Great lunch, good friends, stories and facts. It doesn't get any better!

The GT40 is terminal for now and Ohio is out for Bernie and Hersh. They are driving to Fredricksburg on Saturday. The car will stay at my place until Hersh completes his move. Bernie will go home on the 27th.

Tell Donna that she can ride in the 69 GT500 any time she wants. I will bring it down and she can drive it until the wheels fall off.

HLC came by this afternoon and took pictures of me and the gift. One I will cherish until the day that I die. I am so humbled!!!! Thank you.

I am off on Saturday, flying to Columbus for the London Cobra Show to make some announcements and will return on Sunday. Film at 11:00

Enjoy the family and we will talk when I get back.

By the way, you (we) forgot to sign the wall. Next visit first priority.

God Bless and thank you.

Jay

Gregg,
I wish I would have known you were in town. I would have bought you a beer.

Next time.

Well, I knew Gregg was coming but I couldn't say anything about it for a couple of reasons. Otherwise I would have posted so everyone could have come to Jay's shop and visited our Resident Hero.

So, Gregg will be making many, many more trips to the DFW area over the next few months (more news Tomorrow) so when he comes back we will have a get together for everyone.

I apologise to everyone for not posting he was coming, but I had to keep this one quiet.
At least for now.

Gregg we all still just want to shake your hand and say thanks buddy. I am still in awe at what you have given me. I will keep it for the rest of my life!

It is about the people, NOT the cars!
