Default Ride of Shame

We took the other toy out today on a road trip to Ardmore, Ok. and got about five miles south of Madill, Ok. when the Lucas Generator froze up.

We were wondering what sex the Healey would be...now we know. She was refered to by her master and mistress as "The B!tch!"

I know, I know...English crap. I just thought you would get a kick out of our misadventure.

Is it just something about 2 seater convertibles with bug-eye lights and a hood scoop??

Lucas the "Prince of Darkness". The only thing Lucas on my car are the fuse boxes and they have gone bad. You would think, what can go bad on a fuse holder? Well, Lucas found a way.

Larry,

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.....It sucks to break down so far from home. Good news is it will be an easy fix. Better news is no flames were involved

Angry Lucas = Dim, Flicker, & Off or Smoke, Smolder, Ignite

We did get a ride back with Thomas the toe truck driver (very few teeth and bad breath)...83 miles at $3.00 per mile. I just looked into my Haggerty Policy and bumped it up to 125 mile toe, 3 times a year, any car owned for an additional net $61.00 this year.

A rebuilt generator, $175, plus the $249.00 toe, Dow Jones down 504 points, and Jackie has a 30% off coupon at Kohl's... I'm in deep financial dung.

English, Lucas, Geeeeze!

See you at Run'NGun.

Everything else with smooth itself out but I would be really worried about that 30% off coupon!

Why do they drink warm beer in the UK? Lucas refrigerators!

8-)
My parents had a car dealership when I was growing up and in the 70's one of the lines was MG. I was well educated on Lucas problems. The joke was you needed two one to drive while the other was in the shop.

Beautiful car, I have had more than my share of living with the prince of darkness,
once it was at 60 mph on a motorcycle at night, yep suddenly no lights! and it was as dark a night as you could imagine and no ware near a city.
