Default CVAR @ ECR near Denton, TX

This weekend is the vintage auto racing at Eagles Canyon Raceway. Saturday would be best due to attrition through break downs. Group 1, the ground pounders, run last in rotation so you don't have to be too early.

Drive a muscle car, ya get in free.

I'll be driving the Cobra as a pace car, so come visit.

I don't think you are able to race yet... unless you have had the required 50k overhaul completed...but I figured we would have heard about that

No racing. Only pace car, pit crew and drinking buddy.

Oh, I'm sorry, the only midgets this time are MG's running in Group 4...... sometimes I crack myself up.

Steve, just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to chat and for introducing me to Herb from houston. My girlfriend and I had a great time watching the races and talking with the guys in the pits. Hope to find time to meet up with the group at a monthly meeting.

Eric

Eric,

Glad you came by and enjoyed talking with you. As you can tell, even serving as a pace car I was wrapped up trying not to screw up and miss the staging at grid.

I do hope you stayed for the Group 1 "Blue Flag Special". THAT was a hoot to watch. Even though the last car was released 2:05 minutes after the first car, they all ended up within 1/4 mile from each other. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were within 2/10's of a second.

Soaking rain on Saturday scared more than 1/2 the cars off the track. But then all the cars were still running Sunday afternoon.

Beautifully day. I'm sunburned big time.
