Meet and Greet this Saturday
This Saturday "The Midway Point" host the 3rd Annual Vet to Vet Charity Fundraiser. There will be a silent auction, classic cars, motorcycles and Military vehicles on display in the parking lot. This event will be as good as we make it. Please come out and support our veterans and make a difference. All monies raised at this event will be for our local vets, not somebody in another city or state.
There should be several awsome military vehicles there along with the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas Car display. Hopefully Randy will bring out the Duck and Ron his small block Chevy Trike. They were both big hits last year and everybody loved the 50mm cannon on the top of the Duck. Well except for those unsuspecting kids walking thru the parking lot. If you don't know what I'm talking about then don't miss it this year. Fun will be had by all ! !

We are showing up around 10:45am. The event is from 11 to 3 and will probably fill up quick. See you all Saturday.

I would really love to come and join this Saturday, but I am out. I have too much already scheduled. Saturday is a busy day. If anyone wants to come buy on Sunday, I am having a Memorial Weekend BBQ open invite.

Gary,
I will try to make it out in my 67 Shelby. Been having fuel issues. Really not wanting to "sit and show" for 4 hours, so I'll be somewhere around the outside area. You'll hear me for sure.

Midway Point is Cougarville...
Had a great time hanging on the porch with Parkerpower, Sssammy, JRoss, JDean, Bwana Cobra, Gary Morris and Jayscobras.
It was good meeting some more members of the SCAT group.
My first time attending one of the "Point" places, better than an UpTown crowd for sure. A little more mature and laid back. Cougars abounded from my vantage point.
Vet to vet looked to be a huge success, pretty good sized crowd and alot of bar business.
PS: I got rained on for the last mile home. Hope the weather held for the rest of you.

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone taking a few minutes and chatting with me about your cars and the club. hope to show up to the next meeting, and I was glad that a sonic drive-in was right around the corner since it started raining right as I left.

You're welcome Eric. Glad to meet you! We'll get around to posting the details on the next meet .. just keep an eye here. Probably one more luncheon for June, then we will switch to 9 am brunches for the summer months.
I got in a little rain on the way back to McK, but still wished I'd taken the Cobra JRoss, did you get hosed down?
Some of us were talking about attending the Cars and Coffee next Sat am May 30th at Classic BMW in Plano, just to see what it was like and to scare the sh!t out of the beemers Their newspaper ad said it is an "all breeds" event they are trying to get going on the fourth Saturday of the month. That is at Dallas Tollway and Spring Creek. It would be in the neighborhood for me, Jay, Bwana, Ross, Nick, and Francis. I'll make a separate post on that ...

Vicki and I took the cobra out again last evening, to Snuffers in Rockwall. Worked like a charm; all of you on the north east side of Hubbard can thank me later for the rain dance.
Will try to make it for inaugural 4th Saturday Cars and Coffee at Classic BMW next weekend. How about a rendezvous point, then arriving fashionably late as a tour de cobra force? You locals to McKinney/Plano who are best acquainted with the geography, propose a rendezvous time/point if interested.
Oops, just double checked the calendar specifics for first Saturday June meet. Out either way, lunch or breakfast. High School Graduation for Spencer (hopefully) at 10:00am. We've got out of town guests. Hope the weather is nice for you all. The Colonel and I will get some seat time, but maybe just something out on the east side. "The East Side Rules."

Yeah it poured on me for about 2 miles on the tollway. Other than that it was a very nice drive.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I wish I could have made it, but I ended up working all day. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get a chance to mock up my engine/trans. I have been finding lots of little things that seem to slow me down. Hopefully we can have a T.I.T. party at my house in a couple of weeks.
