Now that's funny! Glyn, welcome .. no one minding the store here, this is the anti-Austin
By long tradition, we communicate right here on this forum, no separate web site. Monthly luncheons every first Saturday no matter what. The location is determined here by consensus, but never more than two days ahead of time .. another long tradition.
Next likely event is this Saturday, Cars & Coffee at Classic BMW. Watch that thread to see if we have a quorum later this week.

Glyn,
Glad to have you in Dallas look forward to seeing you again. Hope you can make the Cars & Coffee this weekend I will not be able to make the October lunch. I am hoping that I can persuade the group to do a Lefty’s Lobster House dinner instead.

Gary,
I liked Lefty's but I think a January 1st dinner is a nice tradition to start for the dinner. Maybe we can do more dinners throughout the year around holidays.
On that subject I was thinking for January we could do a DFW Cobra Club Awards ceremony. All in fun of course Catagories could be something like:
Most likely to need a bib
New build of the year
Newbie of the year
oops of the year
Facial Hair of the year
what ever other retarded catagories we can come up with.

Glyn, you're moving FROM Austin TO Dallas? You realize you're doing it backwards.....
Yea, we're loosely organized, you can follow our movements right here.
Cars and Coffee is worth the trip if you can make it this Sat. http://www.classicbmw.com/candc 200 very cool cars.
Glad to hear you're coming to Big D. Enjoyed meeting you in Austin.

Glyn,
Hummmm, leaving Austin? Btw- How do you remove Tar & Feathers and that dang POLE! OUCH!
Try WD-40 for the tar and feathers, seems to work on everything else.

I promise to try and get a good reference letter from the Austin folks...jeez, better check they'll say nice things...LOL
Can someone tell me who runs the Dallas chapter so I can get on your club mailing list?

Tug...kiss my big white British A$$... and as we discussed at the lake that time, the problem is I AM moving for a 'new wife'...LOL. It's been a difficult past year for me, my 'annus horribilis', so I am hoping for a fresh start up here....but enough boring emotional talk...
I am moving to somewhere in North Dallas, and won't be bringing the Cobra up until next month, so I am just 'thinking ahead'. I WOULD be able to make 'cars and coffee this weekend, but a Porsche just doesn't cut it among Cobras, so I will wait until I have the old Green Snake up here.
Looking forward to renewing some old acquaintances and making some new friends.
Glyn

Hey, I showed up last month in a Chevy HHR, so a Porsche is fine. You should come out. I am looking forward to finally meeting you.
