Default Team III Sunburst Wheels status

I thought I would start a new thread in the hope of attracting an update from Scott with Team III on the Sunburst replica wheels. Any news or scheduled release dates to report?

Dan

It's not sounding promising. There must be some problems.

I called him today and he has put the Sunbursts on hold for lack of demand. He will custom machine a set for $8,000 though.

I'm sure this would have been a lot easier for them if the ribs didn't go all the way out to the outside. It's not possible to cast the centers separately (to be welded into different rims), so they have to make one-piece castings. Much more expensive and you only get one possible configuration. Too bad.
