Default Tire Balancing Beads

Any one ever hear of balancing tires using ceramic beads inside the tires? I was over at the Porsche site and they gave an example of dumping 3.5 oz of the beads in the tire before sealing it on the rim. Inflate the tire and drive away. No lead weights on the rim. You can not use any fix a flat or tire sealer as it will clump the beads.

Coments????

Dyna Beads offers Tire Balancing Solutions

Wheel weights have been around for many years, but are no longer the only solution for trucks, commercial vehicles, trailers, aircraft and motorcycles. We want you to get the highest possible tire mileage by using our products.

The way we do this is by offering a Dynamic Balancing Solution, a high-density ceramic bead that, when easily installed, continuously balances your tires as you drive. The amount of material will distribute itself in weight and position dependent on the balance requirements of the individual tire.

The result is a smooth, vibration-free ride, derived from our balancing media that is always repositioning itself as the tire wears. If you own a pickup truck, commercial truck, motorhome, RV, tractor trailer, motorcycle, or similar vehicle, and want to get rid of those wheel vibration and tire cupping problems, then you need to move up to Dyna BeadsŪ!

I tried them and I felt like they definitely worked. They (unfortunately) compensate misbalance in your system. I (my mechanic) was able to track down the real problem, so the beads were removed.

I think that they definitely can't hurt and they are cheap; try them and post results.

if whatever you are using does not have time to redistribute the media for the imbalance it is of no use. i.e., transitioning through an imbalance quicker then the media is able fix it.

i've heard some of the liquid stuff gells up or slowly moves around and can get out of balance.

i have the mercury filled discs on a truck and really like them.

i have bead filled discs on an enclosed trailer, i'm sure i really like them.

i'd put some on my jetta if they were available, i'm sure i'd like them.

same with the fluiddamper balancers, good for steady state, not so good for racing.

i've never used the loose beads in a tire, but a guy at work put something like anti-freeze or a gel in his tires, when he found out it didn't work, he took it to the tire place and they were not too happy about the situation.
