Suggestions for Cleaning Older PSE Wheels??

I just bought a 68 mustang that has a set of PSE GT-40 wheels. The car was caught up in some shop drama and ended up sitting outside for 3 years. The wheels have developed a bit of a gold hue to them and i would like to know what product would be best to use to attempt to clean the wheels. I checked to see if they were clear powdercoated and they are not. So, i guess the aluminum has simply changed color. Im hopeful that there might be a product i can use to clean them before resorting to blasting the wheels with a mild abrasive.

Since they are not powdercoated or painted, I suggest giving them a bath in automotive grade thinner. A quick wipe down should do the trick, but as scrub brush will work on those hard to reach spots.

Napa sells a Aluminum Brightener that contains phosphoric acid. Almost anything with an acid content works well, just don't let it dry on the wheel or it will streak.

The polished surround portion is still in great shape, it's the rough cast center section that is yellowed.
Is the brightener from autozone something i can spray on or is it a polish?

This stuff works great. Cleaned my nasty intake, looks brand new. Let them dry upside down.

Agree with the posts on anything with Phosphoric acid. OSPHO is a trade name of another product available at most hardware stores, but you do need to rinse off to avoid damaging the finish.
