Default M/T ET Street and Sportsman SR combo for street use

Considering Mickey Thompson ET Street rear and Sportsman SR front. This is for 15 inch rims and only for street use. I have 18 inch rims for track/autocross use. Is this a good combination for street use, which rarely includes wet weather?

aren't the ET street's non-radial and the SR's are radials?

why not SR's front and back?

Yes, they're radials.

I'm running them on mine. After running these I'd never go back to a street tire. They hook, and depending on the aspect ratio they don't do too bad in the twisties.

I'm running them on the rear of my car and I love them. They took virtually all of the "surprises" out of the handling. Forward bite is tremendous and the lateral grip is good as well. I got caught in the rain with them a while back and they gripped really well. I wouldn't want to get in really heavy rain with them as I suspect they'll hydroplane pretty easily. As long as they can find the pavement, they'll grip.
I've got a few thousand miles on them and they're hanging in there. With a Treadwear Rating of 000 I was concerned about very short life, but they're doing OK.

No, you wouldn't want to run a drag radial as a front tire. Any good handling "regular" radial will work fine. I talked with a tech I know at Tire Rack and got the best handling radial for the money (as they recommended) for the front.

That looks like the MT Street Radial II. The MT Street Radial II is a little different (more channels) from the standard MT Street Radial, but if you want 15" sizes, the ET Street Radial is the only choice.

I'm tempted to give the ET's a try.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR's are also available in the 15's. I just put a set on my car. They've gotten some pretty good reviews from guys on this forum.
