Mid-America Ford Show
Guys,
I just got back from the "Big Ford Show" and I could not believe the amount of cars they had. Tons of Cobra's. Some real and some not so real, but nice just the same. Marty you should have gone. Your mustang was light years ahead of the others in the show. They said that Shelby was going to be at the show later but I had to leave...geewizz!!!!!
See you next Saturday.

Wayne,
I thought about going but as you know I did a car show yesterday, so today I have to catch up on the yard work and some other things. You sure did have a nice day for it today!
Yep, see you Saturday night, my son from Virginia will be there with me, I think he'll be bringing his Camaro to IHOP.
I sent you pics of Franks Cobra yesterday from the Inola show we went to, did you open the e-mail yet? He did a nice job on the build, turned out very nice!
Randy

You guys missed a great event! We were at Hallett Thurs and Friday. Brookside Thurs night, the Drags on Saturday and the Show on Sunday. The only bad thing was the heat. Very hot this year obviously.
I didn't see Clois out there which I figure he'd be at Hallett.
Great time! Bold Moves ended up taking home 11 trophy's on Sun. Very proud of the club! Also got some media coverage from Channel 2 and 6. My Cobra won Runner up in the Replica class.
If you've never been, it's really a great event. Plan on it next year!

Paul is right,
This about the only Shelby /Ford Performance event left with all the various venues and the swap, vendor, and manufacturers. I was told registration was down from last year to less than 2100 cars for the show, cruise, and track etc. This was the 35th year and if you didn't make it this year try to make it next. You will enjoy the event, the friends you will make and the support you will find for your current or future project.
Clois

Congrats on the awards Paul! When are you going to post some pictures of that Cobra??
Are you guys going to be at the Casino Show east of Claremore again this year? There's a cruise scheduled for Friday night, I plan on that too. They're expecting more cars than last year (and you know last year's show was BIG) & the word is going around that to ensure a spot in the show, you should pre-register.
Our gang will be there, only now we're up to six Cobra's from the Skiatook, Owasso & Claremore area (not counting the guys down in BA & Tulsa) and of course the one & only Marty!

Paul: congratulations on the great showing. Also, I thought your Cobra look great when I saw it earlier this year at Fudruckers, but the new stripes make it look even better!
All: Clois encouraged me a year ago to go to the driver's school last year at the Mid America meet. I had engine trouble right before the show last year and had that as an excuse to just be an observer.
The Thursday night cruise is great fun even if you don't sign up for anything, because you can go look at the cars and talk to the owners as they line up at the Marriot hotel or when they park in the Brookside area.
This year I went to the driver's school and had a blast, in spite of the 100+ temperatures. I encourage you guys to sign up next year. We are lucky to have such a great track close by.
