Just think through it....

You should have clearance between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate fingers.

Just adjust the pushrod to move the TOB away from the plate if you don't have any clearance.

When you say push, is it pushing the fork towards the front of the car or towards the rear of the car?

Default clutch fork

the slave push's the end of the fork back towards the rear...the fork pivots and moves the throw out bearing towards the flywheel or the front of the car.

Ok, so you'd want to shorten the pushrod up so that it moves the free end of the fork towards the front of the car, thus moving the throw out bearing towards the rear of the car away from the pressure plate fingers.

But wouldnt the angle of the slave cylinder determine the clearance required for proper engagement and disengagement of the TOB. If the angle is too sharp then shortening the rod would only amplify his problem by adding degrees to an already acute angle.

Nevermind....Im just busting Blykins balls....lol.

Shorten the rod...lol
