Default Which Toploader?

I need help with identifying exactly which Toploader gearbox I need and what the correct tag number is.
The gearbox is for a 289 replica, and will be fitted behind a SBF 302
I want a wide ratio box, and for my application I'm assuming it will need to be the shortest tail housing, the 14" ....correct?
Questions:
1. Does the tag no. eg HEH-B or RUG-AH etc. fully describe the gearbox main case / tail housing pairing, and if so which is correct for a 302 in a Cobra?
2. If it doesn't, and I need to look for or specify the correct main case number, is there any significant difference with the 'wide 8 hole cases' of 1965 to 1972 vintage? Any and all are suitable?
3. ...and if I need to be looking for the correct tail housing, which one is it? I'm thinking C6OR-7A040-V or C7OR-7A040-A or will DOZR-7A040-A also be suitable? Any others?
I'm a little confused. Feel free to enlighten me.
Cheers,
Glen

Don, I need more than luck; I need them to answer an email. Somebody suggested that they had a 'secret' phone number
Cheers,
Glen

I think the one you want, has the codes TKO600 on it, and goes by the name of Tremec... and did I mention it has a 5th gear?!

Good luck with the hunt.
Glad to know that cobra of yours is coming together.

Anthony my good friend, you're confusing me with someone else. I want to replicate a car that had a cast iron block and a cast iron gearbox, not arruminum/arruminum.
Cheers,
Glen
