Replacing a 700r4 with BIGGER trans and LS motor

Hello

First off HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

I would like some help from you all!

I recently bought a Everette Morrison Cobra.

Powered with a SBC
Transmission 700r4

All riding on a Corvette Suspension

I am looking to install a LS2 to a LS 4 motor.

I am looking at transmissions

4L60-e would be a nice match..

My questions is would a 6L80 work?

Has anyone assembled this combination?

Appreciate all your knowledge and if you have any docs or images that would be awesome!
