Default 3550 top shifter cover ???

I'm looking for the upper seal/boot where the shifter come out of the trans.
It's a Tremec 3550.
Does anyone know of a source to purchase?
Thanks
Dan

I needed the same item for my transmission and was never able to find one. I contacted Tremec and they said that part is no longer available. I found a different Tremec boot from a seller on eBay, fabricated a new mounting plate for it and it seems to work well. This is the link to the eBay ad:

Tremec Replacement Rubber Shifter Boot Cover T5 T56 Magnum TKO 500 600 TR6060 XL | eBay

For the new mounting plate I just cut a round disc from 3/16 thick aluminum plate. I made the outer diameter just large enough that I had to stretch the new boot onto the plate and that the boot would clear the shifter tower when bolted on.

I purchased one from Mike Forte, ( www.fortesparts.com Ph. 508 875-0016 ) but that was about 5 years ago. The Tremec part number is 2606240 / Shift Lever Dust Cover.

You're welcome.

I put a small plastic tie-wrap around the top flange of the rubber boot to give it some support and to keep it from splitting. I don't know if it has done any good as I haven't inspected it recently, but it might help.

Well I got the part today.
I must say the service from Mike was way over the top.
I called Tuesday am and had it at my door 2 days later.
And to top it all off he even included a LED flashlight in my order.
I love flashlights, how the hell did he know that.
Thanks Mike if you read these posts.
