Default Is there someone that can tell me how to identify a small block C6??

I picked up a parts car (van) a 79 ford small block auto . . .

Any Idea how to identify the trans as a small block C6?
Sorry but I am new to the ford stuff . . .
I think it has a 9inch rear . . . probably going to salvage the carrier too.

All C6s are the same internally. The difference is in the bellhousing. As the bellhousing is part of the case, you cannot interchange between small and big block. To identify a C6 look at the tranny's oil pan. The C6 pan is a square with a corner cut out. See attached pic.

Looks like it is a small block C6. Probably worth saving off the van before it is scrap metal.
