Not Ranked
Relatively strong but NOT for drag racing or hard competition shifts. The Warner was used by Chevrolet, most notably, in the Corvette from '57 (mid year option) through '63 (mid year). It was replaced by the Muncie M20, 21, and 22.
It was also used by Ford with a different gear configuration than Chevrolet (the Chevrolet ratios were better). The 289 Cobras and Mustangs used the T-10 with the 427 cars using the Toploader in '65 (the TL was introduced in the Ford line up in '64 although I know of no original 289 Cobra that ever had one installed from the Factory).
You can still get gearing for the T-10 but most racer use the Super T-10 which is much like a Muncie and those gears are readily available from Borg Warner.
