You should really contact someone who rebuilds trannys for a living. Anything can be welded, but it would have to be dis-assembled and really cleaned ... and welded by someone who has done that kind of welding before. Thats a very heavy part of the case.

I can remember when I missed a shift into 3rd gear in my 6 month old Olds 442. Destroyed everything. Case was even warped. Thankfully, it was replaced under warranty. The worst part was not driving the car for almost 2 weeks while the dealer squabbled with the factory.

I appreciate all the levity

I need some laughs .. yes I'm going to call Jimi and see about a case swap. I bought the unit from him and their shop is an hour drive from here. I don't want to try to learn how to build a TKO one week before Run n Gun .. I need a quick, reliable fix.
