Question Classic car registration

I've heard there is a classic car registration available for
limited use vehicles. How do I apply for this?

Art,
That's the easy part, go to DMV office and ask for a Collector Tag ($ 10.00 ) for your registration. You can drive 3000 miles a year, inspection is only to check that the odometer works(back door). Your are suppose to have Collector type insurance policy. If you need more info. let me know.

Is you car on the road ?

Mike

Mike,
Not yet just got insurance policy Fri. Insurance company wants
it checked out by a mechanic to make sure every thing works.
I plan to take it to get alignment done as soon as I have plates.
They will inspect it and sign insurance form. Hope it's warm and dry tomorrow!!

Art,

I'll be at the Roxbury DMV office first thing in the am (they open at 8am) to register the 65 Mustang sitting in my garage...perhaps I'll see you there.

I was in at 8am sharp, fourth in line but first with paperwork in hand (I bring my own)....Again, like you, in and out in about 15 minutes........Now I have to put on the new valve cover gaskets and get the inspection sticker for the 65 Mustang ragtop.............Perhaps on Wednesday when the sun is supposed to be out for a few hours..........
