Default Do it yourself

Mine is painted in black epoxy and I will drive it for a year just to see if there are any rubs that I can fix before final paint. I have done all the bodywork and rolled the cockpit edges and with all supplies I have spent $550, the paint will be about $600 complete so for about $1200 it will be finished. The worst that can happen would be a repaint.
Cheers Greg

Default Door straps

Michel I used a piece of 2 inch wide self stick industrial velcro for the door straps. Use about 10 inches of the loop side (softer of the two) and stick it to itself over the door hinge and the hook on the frame(found at a cabinet store). It is tricky to get the length right and I used a piece of 2" wide dash material looped through the holders to get the length right. I can tell you that the door straps don't fit and the way they fold out didn't feel right to me.
Cheers Greg

Greg i just sent you a PM about the straps just before i read your post,i asked because i'm trying to buy all the little bits that i'm missing. This year i got to get my Go-kart running,i would be so happy about myself. I'm dying to have that beast on the road and make all the neighbours jealous (or mad because of the noise) Lots of stuff for sale at a good price sometimes on the FFR forum but they don't always apply to us D&D owners.
I guess i'll fabricate some with nice black nylon straps or leather, don't know yet. Thanks for your replies.

Michel
