Default Mooresville area monthly breakfast

2nd Saturday of each month (rain date 3rd Sat) at 8:30am.

Check this thread each month for potential updates to the location, other info and photos (when we think to take them).

Last month we tried a new restaurant:

Grilles Sports Cafe
167 Pinnacle Lane
Mooresville, NC 28117
Sports Restaurant Mooresville, NC - Grilles Sports Cafe

Everybody seemed to like it, the restaurant was incredibly welcoming, and the lake view was awesome. Feedback was to do it there again this month... so we'll hope to see you there at 8:30.

8:30am this Saturday, April 13th

Grilles Sports Cafe
167 Pinnacle Lane
Mooresville, NC 28117
Sports Restaurant Mooresville, NC - Grilles Sports Cafe

For whoever gets there first:
I think we found out last month it's going to be best to start parking in the upper parking lot where: 1) it's flat; and 2) we can all park together.

With the chance of rain this Saturday only increasing, I guess we'll evoke the "3rd Saturday rain date" rule and plan for next week: Saturday, May 18th. Still 8:30, still Grilles Sports Cafe.

...and / OR...

Andrew wanted me to let everybody know about a convertible car club group he's been doing some things with also. They're heading to Biltmore that Saturday for the Festival of Flowers and the home tour, etc. Here's a link to the details:
Biltmore Festival of Flowers (grounds or brunch) - Convertible Car Club (Charlotte, NC) - Meetup

As of my schedule right now, I'm hopefully up for either. Just let me know what you think...

Only confirmations have been to go ahead with breakfast at Grilles tomorrow at 8:30am. Forecast is still a little iffy, but weather-willing we'll hope to see you there.

Had to postpone again last Saturday for the rain. We're good to go for breakfast this Saturday morning at Grilles... hope to see you there.

Mid-70's, sunny, clear skies in forecast. Let's ride.

Grilles Sports Cafe
167 Pinnacle Ln
Mooresville, NC 28117

8:30am for breakfast this Saturday morning (September 14).

Afterward, I'm game for anything, but barring any other preferred routes, I'll probably run north through the backroads up to Wilkesboro & then find some new ones heading north from there... you'll have Hwy 421 and probably Hwy 21 as opportunities to cut off & head back if you don't want to commit to a longer ride than that. I personally think the mowing can wait until mid-afternoon.

Default Location change for this month

Last month we discussed having this month’s breakfast at another location to mix it up a little. Punchy’s was extremely welcoming to us in July, and everybody seemed to enjoy the food – how about we plan on meeting there again this Saturday morning, 8:30am:

Punchy's Diner
550 Concord Parkway North
Concord, NC 28027

I will try to get there early again and secure parking along the front curbline adjacent to Hwy 29 again. If you want to reply with a head count, I will go ahead and get some tables together as well.

Hope to see you there!

Larry

Saturday morning is looking like a great break in the weather for our last monthly breakfast of 2013. The only feedback I heard about location since "rain-checking" last week was to try something somewhat central to the north, south, east & western folks, namely:

Porky's BBQ
1309 N. Main Street China Grove, NC 28023
Saturday, December 21st @ 8:30am

Hope to see you there. As always, if you can give me a head count, I'll try to get there early to see about getting some parking & tables together beforehand if possible.

Forecasts & skies are looking pretty iffy for this morning, so we'll postpone to next week (May 17th). Hope to see you then.

Larry you are working too much. Saturday the 24th is on the May calender. I'm sure you meant June 21st.

You've sure got that right, but I'm afraid the effects are even worse than we thought: actually I meant last Saturday, June 14th!

I'm always up for a good summer morning breakfast drive though. Any good breakfast spots near Richfield?

I am just seeing this post for the first time. I live in Cramerton, NC and a Cobra breakfast in Mooresville would be fun. I will keep an eye open for the next outing.

Sounds great Jamie... I hope you'll be able to make it. Next one is scheduled for Saturday, July 12th, and we're planning to do breakfast out on Lake Norman again at Grille's Sports Cafe.

Thanks Larry. I have marked the calendar for the 12th and sent an invite to my Cobra Owning neighbor. Hopefully, we will both make it to this outing.
