Default Question

I just purchased a BDR Cobra and it's outfitted with 4 - 48 IDA Webers. The only filtration is the stock screens. I use Outerwears pre-filters on my ATVs to extend cleaning intervals. I can use them without rejetting so I was wondering, for extra protection, could I slip some Outerwears over the screens to provide extra protection against debris entering the engine without having to re-calibrate the Webers? Anybody try this before?

When you say, "Stock Screen", what exactly are you referring to? Do they look like this?

These are called Tea Strainers. They cost about 100hp, proven on the dyno. I would not put anything else over them. I got rid of mine.

That's not a stock screen, those units you have are not cheap either. They are supposed to work quite well. I understand the concern on an off road vehicle... but for the street you're already "covered" with those.

He's right. Everything I'v read about those screens is good news. I'm considering a set for track days.
