Cool Stacks Factory?

I can't believe I don't know this,but I know my cobra buddies will.
Did any Cobras come Factory stock with a weber setup ?
I always thought the 289 FIA's did,but not sure about the 427 s/c.
I'm in the process of planning my build and can't make up my mind what to do.
Dual quads, webers, efi stacks, or a boring old 4v????
I'm still wrestling with the big, small block issue as well.
I want a deep intimidating lug sound, some kick butt grunt, but I also want it streetable.
If my budget was unlimited (oxy moron) I'd order the Cammer on ebay for 30k.
So to add to my confusion,if the webers, that look soooo sweet, didn't come factory. Then I want to remain period correct.
problems or what??

Smile Webers

I don't know but I have a few pics of Cobras with webers. I think they offered them as an option. I think the Dragon Snake ran with single four, double fours and webers all in the same day/race. Different classes.

Webers were used on the 289 race cars. dual fours (Carter AFBs) were also an option on 289s
427 cars were only available with single or dual fours (Holley).

I thought I just read an article somewhere by Rick Kopec that said Shelby and Dean Moon put four IDF's on CSX 2000 with a 260 c.i. on a manifold designed and cast by Dean (he was into casting stuff in the early 60's). May have been on the SAAC website somewhere.

Thanks Tom
BTW you make awesome cars.I think i'm going to go big block until i'm talked out of it again. When I was at carlisle the roar/rumble from the FE's made me drool.
Can the 460"s be done to sound like that?

George,
the 460 sounds very different, not bad but different. I've had the same sidepipes on both motors and they sound completely different.
